Frequently Asked Questions

  • We hope that everyone can make a trip out of the occasion, and travel in the way that brings them the most joy. However, we understand that schedules and work may not always allow for this.

For those taking the roadtrip, we recommend driving up on Thursday, as it really is an all-day drive (about 9 hours), and then taking the day on Friday to enjoy some time in nature and relax after a long drive.

For those that must fly in Friday night/Saturday morning, the drive is a bit precarious at night, but also has the potential to be draining on the day of the wedding. Please keep these things in mind while making plans! <3 If you’re able to fly in on Friday during the day, that is strongly encouraged.

  • It’s located about 3 hours north of San Francisco, on the rocky coast of Northern California.

  • No, there will not be cell reception in the Sea Ranch/Gualala area. Please please remember to download the map area on Google Maps before getting off the 101 freeway.

  • Yes and no. The furthest north we can recommend is Point Arena, and the furthest south we can recommend is Timber Cove in Jenner. The first reason is because these towns are much further apart than they seem. Especially when you are on remote, winding roads. The second reason is because of safety. The worst part of the drive is in Jenner, south of Timber Cove, and we worry about people driving home late on this section of the road on the night of the wedding. Guernesville is a pretty cool town to check out if you have a chance, though.

  • The closest airport is in Santa Rosa (STS). It’s located a little less than 2 hours from Gualala. You will likely find the most affordable tickets to this airport if you fly out of Burbank. You can also fly into San Francisco (SFO), or Oakland (OAK), and the driving distance to Gualala would be about 3 hours.

  • At the wedding, we don’t anticipate there being too many bugs. However, we do recommend bringing insect repellant for your travels, as spring is the beginning of tick season, and there is always the chance of mosquitos out in mother nature. Please keep in mind that Northern California ticks are not known to carry lyme disease, and ticks are only a concern if going off-trail or walking through very tall grass.

  • Expressive and creative // semiformal— As this is a fully outdoor wedding, uncomfortable tuxes and stilettos that may sink into wet soil are not recommended.

  • While we love the kids in our lives, we hope you understand our decision to make this an adults-only wedding.
